Visitors During COVID-19

We have an obligation to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of everyone on the St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School site – children, staff, parents / carers, visiting professionals from outside agencies, contractors, delivery services and visitors.

We are therefore implementing a series of regulations to help ensure that we maintain a COVID-secure environment.

Virtual Meetings are preferred if at all possible. However, we appreciate that occasionally we will need to welcome people on to site.

Visitor Protocol

Prior to arrival  If a visit to the school is agreed, you will be sent a 'protocol' via email which you are asked to read prior to arriving. A copy is given below.

On arrival You will be given a form to complete which will take some key information from you.  A copy is given below. This will be used in the event that we are required to identify you as part of the NHS Track and Trace process. You will be asked to:

  • provide your name and address
  • provide a phone number and e-mail address on which you can be contacted
  • to sign a health declaration regarding the COVID-19 symptoms -
  1. a high temperature
  2. a new, continuous cough
  3. a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

If you, or anyone in your household, have any symptoms we will not be able to admit you and the appointment will have to be rescheduled after the required self-isolation period.

If you have visited any countries not included on the travel corridor list within the last 14 days,  quarantine rules will be applied and your appointment will be rescheduled.

During Your Visit  All visitors will be asked to use the hand sanitiser available at the reception desk and are encouraged to wash or sanitise hands as necessary during your visit.

Visitors must bring a face mask or covering and wear it as required. If you should forget one, do not worry because we will provide you with one.

Visitors must maintain a safe distance, ideally two metres from other people at all times.

We look forward to meeting you.
