Ensuring the best start at school is very important to us

The information in this section is specifically intended for parents of children in Reception classes, as they begin the journey with us.

Rest assured, that if this is your first child starting at school, you will naturally have lots of questions and some concerns about your child settling in and being happy.  Our staff are very experienced and will be working with you from June prior to your child starting, all the way through the early days in Reception, right through to their transition into year one.

Milestone Moments will be explained to you when we meet with you in June prior to your child starting school.

If at any point during the year you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to the class teachers at the end of the day or send an email.

In September each year, Reception class teachers present a workshop to parents on early reading and phonic skills. You can find a copy of the PowerPoint presentation in the Curriculum section under Workshop for Parents.
